HRWeb provides a valuable resource for Researchers, providing access to data, documentation, analyses and key stakeholders for 'Research for Health' in their country.
Information on Governance, Policies and Priorities allows researchers to see how the health research system of the country works, information that can enable researchers to increase the efficiency and impact of their work and align their research activities to the needs and priorities of the country.
Such information and analyses of research and the research system of the country can further enable researchers to contribute to, or call for, the development of research in the country, ensuring that their voice is heard in the development of policy and the identification of research needs. Furthermore, HRWeb provides a platform to allow researchers to hold decision makers to account ensuring that commitments made are followed through.
HRWeb can also be a valuable tool for research collaboration, proving a showcase for researchers' activity open to researchers and funders all over the world; and providing access to the bodies that fund research in the country.
As a platform, HRWeb is as useful as the users make it, we would therefore encourage researchers to use the service, ensuring their voice is heard in national debates; and lobby for their institutions to join, to ensure that the impact of researchers and their work on national development can be made more visible and are given the recognition that they deserve.
